Before MACRO was a learning community of 265,000, it was just me in my National Service bunk. While others were writing letters home, I was spending my free time writing tuition notes. I wanted to help 1,000 students who couldn't afford extra help, because I believed your bank account shouldn't decide your grades.

I'd record explanations on my phone and send them out. Soon, students from all over Singapore were messaging me for help. I realised that students in Singapore don't lack talent — they just lack access to the right help.

That's why I started MACRO.

I created our 8 social channels to give you the best resources for free. My goal was to make sure high-level insights were never gatekept. Today, we have four physical centres for those who want deeper structure, but our heart is still the same: community first.

Whether you learn with us through a free TikTok or in one of our classrooms, we are here to make sure you actually understand, not just memorise. You've always had the ability; we're just here to give you the access.
